Terms of Hire
Please ensure you have read the full terms and conditions available for download by clicking the link above.
You will be asked to sign a copy of these terms and conditions on collection of your motorhome.
Booking Deposit
A booking deposit of 20% is required at time of booking. Please be aware that your booking is not guaranteed until payment has been received in full. Once your booking has been placed online a member of the team will contact you on the telephone number you have provided.
Full payment must be received at least 6 weeks prior to the start of your hire period.
Drivers
Drivers must be between 25 and 70 years of age. Hire price covers one allocated driver.
Please note there is an additional cost for additional drivers. If you have points on your licence please contact the office.
Paperwork Required
Please bring the following paperwork with you when you pick up your motorhome.
We cannot accept copies – please bring the original document.
Full driver’s licence for each driver,
2 forms of identification
We need either 2 utility bills OR 1 utility bill AND 1 of the other accepted documents.
Utility bills – Gas, water, electric, media package, broadband, landline
Other accepted documents – Council tax bill/statement, Bank or Credit Card statement, Mortgage statement
These need to show your name and current address as listed on your driving licence and MUST be dated within the last 90 days from your hire start date.
Payment method
(Visa, Mastercard or Debit) to cover any outstanding hire costs and the £1000 damage deposit.
Collection & Return
Collections are 3pm – 6pm.
Returns are 9am – 11am.
Late return fee £50 per hour.
Minimum Hire Period
Minimum 3 nights – Low & Mid
Minimum 7 nights – High Season.
Cancellation/No Show
Refund Policy
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing prior to start date of hire.
More than 42 days notice – You will lose your deposit.
Between 42 – 15 days notice – You will be charged 50% of the total hire charge.
Between 14 days and day of hire – You will be charged 100% of the total hire charge.
Cancellation By Us
Blackdown Leisure Motorhome Hire has the right to cancel at any point.
In the unlikely event that this does happen, you will receive a full refund.
Damage Deposit
A damage deposit of £1000 will be held and taken on card.
Deposits are refunded in full provided that the vehicle is returned clean, undamaged and on time. Refunds are paid after 7 days, following cleaning and inspection of the returned motorhome.
Free pitch for one night
As part of your hire, you can have a free night’s pitch at either our Westbrook or Channel View touring park during April to October. Outside of this period, we offer the use of our overnight stay area. Please ask for more details when booking.
